This may be one of the easiest, most delicious toasts I’ve ever made and believe me when I tell you that I’ve had more than my share of toast.
I grew up on cinnamon toast, always heated in the oven or better yet the broiler (crisper if you’re from the South). Sustained myself through my early twenties on toast with butter and jam, because hello bills and minimum wage. Then stunted into my early thirties by becoming an Avocado toast aficionado.
So when I say that this toast is one of the easiest and most delicious that I’ve ever made it means something.
This recipe is made up of fairly basic ingredients and can be further modified to fit your preference. All you need is:
Assembly is as easy as toast. It is toast.
So start by toasting your bread to your desired doneness. I’m a medium-golden brown fan myself, nothing to crispy. Once the bread is toasted spread a very thin layer of jam, followed by a slightly thicker spread of ricotta. Once evenly spread add your chopped fruit then drizzle with honey and finish off with a sprinkle of dried lavender. Voila!
Delicious, decadent toast
Toast bread to desired doneness
Spread jam then ricotta onto bread evenly.
Add chopped fruit
Drizzle with honey and sprinkle dried lavender on top.
This recipe will have you forgetting all about your go-to order at your favorite brunch spot…you won’t need to leave the house.
