This maxi dress, the Bottom Line Dress from Worn and Raised, the perfect summer maxi, low back with scalloped crochet detailed panels, is coming with me to face the cooler temps.
Everyone loves a good maxi in the Spring and Summer but I feel come Fall and Winter I see so many less maxis on people. I’ve never really understood why maxis weren’t winter wear. They are floor length which gives you the option to secretly wear tights or panty hose underneath for additional warmth and can easily be worn under a jacket or sweater, ie great layering piece. This dress in particular is actually a heavy material as well.
I had it set in my mind that I was going to find some really cool, 70’s inspired, long sleeved maxi dresses this season and I’m not going to lie, unless I want to spend an arm and a leg the selection has been mediocre at best. Never one to be held down, I improvised. I have maxi dresses and I have tons of options with long sleeves; jackets, sweaters, shirts and even cardigans.
I decided to go with my chic, Bebe faux leather jacket for a few reasons:
