How to Easily Transition Swimwear From the Pool to the Party

If you follow me on social media whatsoever then you know I’m in a TOTAL vacation state of mind, which I mean, who isn’t this time of the year? Everyone I talk to is either chatting about their latest trip or asking anyone and everyone for recommendations for the current vacation they’re planning. It’s travel season…er well, what season isn’t appropriate for travel? I’m always planning my next vacation. Fuck it, it’s Summer. Well, almost. Moving on…

What type of traveler are you? A crazy over-packer or a carry on queen? I fall somewhere in the middle, getting more and more minimalist every trip. I used to be that girl that packed 10 pairs of shoes, tons of outfit options and yet still felt like she was forgetting something or needed to swing by the mall once getting to my travel destination, but with experience comes wisdom. That’s not to say I don’t fancy a jaunt to the local mall while on a trip but you won’t catch me pushing 50lb luggage for a weekend trip anymore. I’ve become a bit of an expert, if you will, at packing coordinating pieces to get the most wear and combinations out of my items. Today, with it being almost Summer, I wanted to talk about an easy way to get more mileage out of your swimwear.

Which, speaking of swimwear, did you guys know Justfab has swimsuits? I didn’t until this Summer. Don’t sleep on their suits ya’ll! This adorable pink swimsuit is under $40 total. Get out of here, when’s the last time you bought a swimsuit for that little and actually loved it? I’m obsessed!

Being able to easily transition swimwear with a few pieces is going to save you tons of time when you’re on vacation, both prior when you’re outfit planning/packing and once you’re there and getting invited on impromptu adventures. Why sacrifice your style just because you’re short on “get ready” time? Some of my favorite items to transition a swimsuits are:

• High waisted skirts, pants or shorts-you’re not showing off everything (like you are still in just a swimsuit) but it still gives a nice Summer vibe in a classier way.
• Scarves-I typically tie a colorful option onto a purse. That’s my most comfortable way to wear a scarf personally. I wore one tied in my ponytail for a Sunday Funday a week ago and didn’t hate it, so I may have to start trying that more often too.
• Jewelry-The more the better. I mean come on, you are technically wearing a swimsuit, you have to show you tried somewhere. Stack dainty necklaces, bangles and rings to get my go-to jewelry look.
• A dressier shoe-Ditch your sandals, unless it’s really chill, but even then you can always get away with a short block heeled mule. These red ones are my new obsession. I’m going to wear them into the ground, they are from Justfab and also come in a chambray polka dot style. For under $50 I think I need both. Having a fun pop of color, added height shoe is going to make all the difference in tricking people into thinking your swimwear may not be swimwear after all. & these little cuties are not only so fun but actually comfortable too.

Now I’m ready for whatever the day(or night) may bring.
