Ah! Bitch stole my look! We’ve all been there; your best friend buys the EXACT. SAME. THING. Who does she think she is to just copy your style, um “Single, White, Female” much?! I used to feel mortified if I’d show up and someone was wearing the same thing, how embarrassing right? Except not really. What’s embarrassing about two (or more) people loving the same piece of clothing? Sounds like proof you picked a quality item if you ask me! Besides, do you spend every day, all day with this person? Is that it? You’re never going to get even one day away from them to wear it? Doubtful! Even if it WAS your very best friend-who’s to say you’d style it the same way anyways? Or maybe you’re just interested in buying your first matching set but are afraid that you’ll only be able to wear it one way, together. Today I wanted to show you two ways to style a two-piece set; a very girly/chic look as well as a trendy/sporty way to mix it up. Pairing the skirt (or bottoms) with a flirty ruffled blouse causes more emphasis on the ruffle detailing of the skirt, therefore adding to the ladylike vibe. I kept the accessories in pink, furthering the girly-girl vibe and finished with a patent, blush pump. This skirt would also look great paired with a graphic tee shirt or simple cropped tank as well.
Wearing: Blouse | Earrings | Shoes | Skirt
Wearing the set as is doesn’t have to be boring either. There’s already a girly vibe so balancing that with the converse was the first step in relaxing the femininity. Couple that with bold, on trend, almost masculine accessories and this look screams trendsetter. If you wanted to keep it ladylike you could also pair this set with a nude sandal/wedge (or maybe red!) and some straw accessories like a sunhat or this bag here.
On Amanda: Crop | Skirt | Hat | Sunglasses | Shoes
Which way would you wear it? Comment below! Xx Sylvia
