Visiting Nice was unlike anywhere else I have ever been. The pastel colored buildings, over crowded bookstores, the winding alleys, black pebble beach, the checkered streets of Place Massena-everything was so beautiful. I remember walking around thinking to myself, “I need to come back longer and do a ton of photoshoots here!” It was just so picturesque everywhere I went. One of my favorite areas was Place Massena, a historic square located right in the city center, it was majorly unique and beautiful. Between the checkered streets, pastel buildings, fountains and chic sidewalk cafes I found myself wandering around, stopping in at cafes and people watching for hours, lost in the beauty and buzz of the place.
I couldn’t help but people watch and get fashion inspiration from my cafe table then imagine what I’d wear the next time I come to visit. This bustling square has it all, shopping, restaurants, art and even parks so no matter what you’re travel style is there’s something for everyone. That also means that the attire ranges from tourist-(not so)chic to femme fatale. Knowing my personal travel happenings I know it’s imperative to have a casual but still on trend day look for exploring and then a more elevated outfit for dinner and night activities.
The mint short suit would be a perfect day outfit paired with comfortable tennis shoes and trendy accessories as the weather is fair enough for sleeves and any time I can get away with rocking a third piece I’m taking advantage of it. Then for an evening stroll or sunset dinner I think a structured midi dress will be your best friend. Because you are right on the water you do get a bit of a cool breeze come night time so again I’d go with something that has sleeves. What’s great about these two looks is that you can mix and match too! Pair the sneakers with the dress for a casual museum outfit or get rid of the crop and belt your blazer for a chic night look coupled with the strappy heels.
Which would you wear to Place Massena? Drop me a comment below!
