Fall is typically the time of year that you start layering your earth tones. Your browns, greens and grey all jazzed up with some red, orange and yellows; but for me this year it’s been all about transitioning my whites into fall. I’ve always been a girl who has a seasonal color and this past Summer it was white-I bought everything in white, so naturally I have an abundance of choices all in white. Always a strong believer in “Waste not. Want not.” I refuse to waste my perfectly good summer purchases due to color so I’m improvising aka layering. Duh. Grounding my white dress with the outer shell of a neutral toned trench coat immediately shifts the focus to the warm tone of the jacket, letting the white dress be a crisp but lingering after thought (and the perfect way to show off that end of summer tan). Use your smaller details to further anchor your look by choosing black pieces or a fun leopard print item. Nothing screams fall like leopard print! I chose to keep it very subtle with just a touch on the shoes and sunglasses but a scarf or bag would have the same great effect.
